Started at a kitchen table, like most 11+ journeys
ElevenReady was founded by a parent and software engineer preparing his own child for the grammar-school entrance exams — and discovering what every 11+ family discovers: great coaching is expensive, hard to find, and often stressful for the child.
He believed something simple: technology should level that field. Used well, AI can give every pupil what only the luckiest had before — instant, patient explanations for every mistake, a plan that adapts to exactly where they are, and encouragement that never runs out. Not to replace great teaching, but to put it within everyone's reach.

How it's built
Shaped by teachers, checked by humans
The platform is built on the methods experienced 11+ teachers and tutors use — how grammar-school questions are really constructed, the classic traps children fall into, and the way a good teacher explains a mistake so it never happens again.
That experience sets our quality bar: every question is reviewed by a person before any child sees it, worked explanations accompany every answer, and an automated daily review keeps the whole bank honest. The AI writes and explains — people decide what's good enough for your child.
Our ambition is plain: to set the standard for 11+ preparation across the United Kingdom — aligned to GL Assessment, ready for the new FSCE format the Trafford grammars adopt from 2028 entry, and covering independent-school entrance too. We're proud of our roots near the Trafford grammar schools, and we build for families everywhere.
