Marlborough College publishes separate admissions information for 13+ entry and 16+ entry. Its 13+ admissions process says most pupils are assessed in Year 6, with some in Year 7 and, space permitting, a number of shortlisted applicants in Year 8.

For 2028 entry at 13+, the college suggests submitting the registration form by the end of Year 5. Registered families are contacted in the summer following Year 5 to enrol for assessment. ISEB Pre-tests are taken between September to December of Year 6. Assessment day takes place at the College in January of Year 6. Offers are made towards the end of the Lent Term of Year 6, with formal offer and acceptance by early July, Year 6. Bursary applications must be submitted by 1 July of Year 5. Open
